Pat Bryant
I think they need to change the name of this race to the above title. It seems like this race is always wet and muddy but all riders have to ride the same course so I guess it evens out.
I was so glad to see Jessica there for her first mtb. race but I have to admit I was a little disappointed when she didn't show up with those funny ears on like the ones in her profile pic.
Team WeldNrb was well represented with 6 riders. There was a lot of pre race discussion on how we would approach the race, but I think that all went out the window once the race started and we all just went into survival mode. Several of us got on the podium with one 2nd place finish and 3 third place finishes. Unfortunately, Andy was the only one who went home with cash! or maybe that was fortunate since he was driving the big white gas guzzling van loaded down with bikes.
I was really happy for Jessica who was one of our 3rd place finishers. It was great to see her smiling face as she picked up her high dollar prize (HA HA). Way to go girl. Keep it up!
Looking forward to the next race, hopefully we will get in some dry ones.

When I first met "TeamWELD-NRB" I was very excited. After looking around, I realized that I probably had 20+ years on just about everyone. I thought, how in the world is this old man going to be able to keep up with this group. After introductions, I realized that this team wasn't just going to be about racing, but about biking in general, making new friends, promoting a healthy lifestyle, bike advocacy, etc. This is exactly what I will tell others if asked about Teamweldnrb.
