When I first met "TeamWELD-NRB" I was very excited. After looking around, I realized that I probably had 20+ years on just about everyone. I thought, how in the world is this old man going to be able to keep up with this group. After introductions, I realized that this team wasn't just going to be about racing, but about biking in general, making new friends, promoting a healthy lifestyle, bike advocacy, etc. This is exactly what I will tell others if asked about Teamweldnrb.I have raced since the early 90's; back when no one had suspension and no one cared what they were dressed in and had only one thing in mind: beating your buddy to the finish line. Now that was real racing. The sport has really grown and technology has greatly increased but I will always remember the good ole days. I look forward to the trips with the team, the preparation, and of course racing. It should be a blast and I can't wait until we all line up at the first race together. |
